Presque Isle After Dark: Myths and Legends of the Isle (Halloween Night Hike)
Join the Educators on October 23, 2014 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM for a Halloween themed hike on interior trails of Presque Isle State Park. Meet at the Pine Tree Pavilion for an approximately 2-mile guided hike. Along the way visit the spooky stops on the trails and hear myths and legends of Presque Isle fitting for the season. Dress for the weather. For ages 6 and up, no fee or registration.

AMC Fall Photography Hike Register for this Event   
A leisurely hike with a focus on scenic fall photography along the Tohickon Creek gorge. All are welcome, but some basic knowledge of digital photography and cameras will be helpful. Bring your own camera (DSLR with zoom lens recommended), or loaner Canon Powershot cameras will be available upon request. There will be an optional post-hike meeting to look at and discuss participants' photos.

Owl Prowl
Princes of darkness and lords of the nighttime sky, owls are superb, highly specialized predators. Discover why owls’ nocturnal habits, silent flight and ghostly appearances have fascinated people for centuries. Come owling for the evening January 3 at 7:00 pm at the Jennings Environmental Education Center and explore the folklore, natural history, and adaptations of the mysterious creatures of the night. Following a brief indoor presentation, prowl among owls and other winter nightlife on a guided walk along Jennings’ darkened forest trails. Please wear sturdy shoes and dress appropriately for the weather conditions including layered clothing and a wind proof/water proof outer layer.
