Fall Loyalsock Hike
Participants of this hike will walk parts of the Old Loggers Path, Doe Run Trail, Ellenton Grade, and Yellow Dog Trails. This guided four-mile hike will be over mostly flat terrain, and highlights will include Rock Run Vista, fall foliage, old railroad grades, and Doe Run Swamp. Bring water and a snack or lunch. The hike will begin where the Old Loggers Path crosses Yellow Dog Road. From PA 14 turn onto Thompson St. in Ralston and then bear left onto Rock Run Road. Follow Rock Run Road for 4.16 miles to Yellow Dog Road. Follow Yellow Dog Road for 1.84 miles. OR From Ellenton Mountain Road turn onto Masten Road and drive for 1.12 miles. Then bear right onto Ellenton Ridge Road for 3.17 miles. Turn right onto Yellow Dog Road and follow for 0.39 miles.

1st Annual Heritage Rail Trail County Park Pumpkin Walk
On Saturday, October 17, pumpkins will light up a section of the Heritage Rail Trail! This will be great fun for families and an opportunity to get out, walk, and enjoy a fall evening on the trail. You can also carve a pumpkin and enter it in the walk. Refreshments will be provided by Friends of the Heritage Rail Trail County Park. Event held rain or shine. Great family fun! ChesLen Chase for Open Space
Get ready to run for nature at Natural Lands Trust’s 2nd annual ChesLen Chase for Open Space, with 10K, 5K and Fun Run-Walk! The challenge trail runs include steep hills, a creek crossing, woodlands, and open fields. The fun continues after crossing the finish line with a post-race party at ChesLen’s Lenfest Center, featuring brews and BBQ from Victory Brewing Company, live music by the Mojo Gypsies, and an awards ceremony.
